Simple. Clean. Convenient. Quick.
Those are the words I would describe June Coffee. It's a non-nonsense type of place with a few chairs and an extended bar table facing outside. One gets a view of a local fountain.
Whenever I visit, I don't worry about how clean it is. It's cozy.
This place is right across the King Street Metrorail station and within walking distance to the Amtrak/VRE station.
The menu is simple and straightforward. A bit sparse for breakfast items. Bagels and bagel sandwiches, mostly. They have the coffee essentials to be called June Coffee.
Staff are quick to get your order to you. Efficient. They have a variety of snacks near the counter for a grab and go. Like I said, quick.
Regulars know what they are getting when they visit this June Coffee. -

I had a little time before heading to the airport and have always enjoyed the King Street area. Hopped off the metro and headed to June's. The coffee hit the spot but my favorite thing was the location. Relaxing on a bench in the sun, while enjoying the fountain was just what I needed. Several others were taking advantage of the day too.
Such a cute little gathering place. -

I work in the complex with June Coffee. It is so convenient that I keep trying them but guess what? Each time I am sorely disappointed!!! How do you charge extra for turkey then only put only one extra paper thin slice on the sandwich? The prices are cheap and they are cheaper.
I am done with them. I prefer to support small local own businesses but I still want value for my money. -

Convenient, deli style coffee shop. Seem to have a wide variety of food options, though I just opted for an iced coffee. They used frozen cubes of coffee which was a HUGE plus in my book. Card minimum is $5 so be sure to have cash if you're just grabbing a drink.

Nice change of pace from the usual Starbucks. The owner is very sweet and friendly. The coffee is great and I love the breakfast sandwiches too. I usually get a sausage, egg, cheese on a multi-grain/whole wheat bagel and it always has the fluffiest eggs. The sandwich is also decently sized to keep me full throughout busy mornings. Service is fast and everything is reasonably priced. They also have grab-and-go packaged snacks and bottled beverages so I treat this place as a mini convenience store as well.
I have been eyeing the pastries they have, so I'll continue to come back when I'm in the area!
